Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in Education

The Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in Education give recognition to ANU academic and general staff for teaching, supervision and program excellence, and for their contribution to student learning. Recipients and nominees of these ANU awards will be eligible to be nominated by the University for the national awards.
National awards

From 2012 the Australian Awards for University Teaching will be offered by the Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT). The awards play an important role in promoting and advancing learning and teaching in Australian higher education, with the award program consisting of award types that recognise teaching excellence and outstanding contributions to student learning.
ANU Commendation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning
From 2010, all recipients of College Education Awards are awarded an ANU Commendation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning. This Award is in addition to the College Award, recognising across the campus the outstanding contribution of College Award recipients.
ANU College Awards

The ANU Colleges offer awards for teaching excellence, and awards for outstanding programs. Recipients and nominees of these awards are eligible to be nominated by the College Deans and the Awards Committees for the Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in Education.

The student award for Top Supervisor recognises engaging, inspiring, mentoring and motivational supervisors who work at the ANU.

The Last Lecture is a chance for students to choose a lecturer from the University whom they want to see give a captivating and enthusiastic lecture to the whole University at the end of the year.
